I may be wrong, but isn't this an open world game anyway? Taking that into consideration, this shits on Resident Evil 5 and, to an extent, Uncharted 2. I genuinely can't understand how you can't be impressed by this, even with the knowledge that it's been in development for that long. Far from your run of the mill combat, that's for sure. The same old "run and gun stuff"? Are you being serious? I love how the light pays a key role in eliminating the enemies, while the cinematic style of the combat is fantastic.
Furthermore, the atmosphere has been absolutely nailed, the voice-acting's top notch, the visuals are stunning, and the gameplay itself actually looks interesting. Resident Evil 5 took same time to develop, is multiplatform, plays in co-op and still looks way more beautiful. I remember they boasted physics once.a jeep shot back with a bullet? wait a sec.
lighting is gorgeous though but gameplay is same run and gun stuff. I just can't believe when I saw that waterfall, c'mon 4 years for two plain textures? Uncharted 2 looks thrice beter.
